This website provides information and resources for those who care for others in the London Borough of Camden.
Who are carers?
Carers are people who look after a spouse, partner, relative, friend or neighbour who cannot manage on their own. The person they are caring for or supporting may be either an adult or a child. They may be elderly or ill, have a physical or learning disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, or have special needs.
Many people don’t get the support they need because they don’t recognise the caring role they have. The Princess Royal Trust Camden Carers Centre is a local voluntary sector charity which gives advice and support to carers from all communities living in Camden. There are also workers based at four hospitals: The Royal Free, St Pancras, University College and the National Hospital for Neurology. They support carers of people who are in hospital, and after discharge.
